Information Specialist Support Technician

Course Description

Information Specialist Support Technician Course is provided for people who want a change in career path and /or have little knowledge of personal computers.  This course will train individuals with the basic skills of PC hardware, assembling, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing various software packages. In addition, individuals will learn the Internet through Netscape Browser and Microsoft Explorer, and will design, troubleshoot, and repair Web pages.

This training will prepare participants for positions including PC Specialist, Desktop Support I and II, Help Desk I and II Consultant, and Web Page Developer.

Training Period    400 Hours/10 Weeks

Training Sites         Long Beach

Requirements         Proof of lay-off from former employer or long term unemployment and aptitude for working with computers
