Introduction

The major activities of the Center for Career Studies are focused in the area of employment and training. The Center serves both employers and employees as companies or governmental agencies right-size to meet changing demands.

The services that are primarily for companies or agencies include:

• On or Off-site customized training
• Cultural awareness training for employees who deal with the public.
• Grant Writing and Proposal development.
• Employee leasing.
• Advice on how and when to lay-off employees during right-sizing.
• Operating out-placement centers for large lay-offs.
• Development of labor demand vocational training programs.
