Thank you for your interest in participating in the CSULB Alumni Association Grants Program. A total of up to $60,000 will be awarded through this program, now in its 17th year. The applicants determine the proposed grant amount ranging from $1,500 to $10,000.
The Grants Program is designed to provide funding to University departments or programs. The grant could be awarded to a one-time program or an on-going program. The applicants will be screened and the recipients will be selected by three committees comprised of alumni. The Alumni Association board of directors selects the winners.
Applicants may apply for one award per program. In making a decision, the Alumni Association considers the following criteria, which should be addressed in the grant application:

The desire of the Alumni Association is to make the application process as simple as possible. However, those who spend the time to make the application and narrative of the program or activity as descriptive but concise as possible, who address the criteria listed above, and itemize projected expenses with diagrams or photographs (if applicable), will be more successful in the grant process.

December 14, 2007, 5 p.m.: Applications are due in the Alumni Relations Office. Electronic files, faxes, and hard copies are acceptable. Late applications will not be accepted.
The grants will be available through an account at the CSULB Foundation to ensure that funds are utilized as specified in the proposal. All funds must be expended by December 19, 2008.
