Alumni Notes

The following news items concerning our graduates were obtained from responses to last year’s newsletter. Keep us informed of your activities, accomplishments, further education and other matters of interest to your fellow alumni and faculty in the department. Please follow the link titled "Submissions," fill out the online form, and we will be sure to include you in next year’s alumni notes.

Many of our alumni maintain contact with the Economics Department and supply information on career opportunities for our graduates. Our graduates use their foundation in economics to teach, further study business and to advance in other related fields. 

 

 

William R. Berry (B.A., 1971) retired after teaching and enjoys riding his motorcycle while pursuing his music.

Lawrence E. Staley (B.A., 1974) resides in Foster City, Calif., and is president of the local historical society.

Barbara E. Born (B.A., 1978) is a freelance writer and an advocate for Just Faith, a program that raises awareness of social justice issues.

 

Patricia Chen Larsen (B.A., 1988) is a project manager for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority. She studied Chinese for 1½ years in Taiwan and earned a master’s degree in planning at UCLA. Patricia has worked in the planning field for 16 years and is married with two children.

Eric C. K. Kwan (B.A., 2007) has over 11 years of accounting, operations and sales promotion experience. He recently completed an internship program with Bank of America Investment Services, Inc.
