Jerry Galbreath, '62 B.A. Criminal Justice

What activities/organizations were you involved in while attending LBSC? What was your fondest memory of LBSC?

I was involved with TKE fraternity and Track and Field. My fondest memory of LBSC was 49er days.

Did you attend any student events? Where was your favorite hang-out on campus and why?

I attended all events that took place on campus. My favorite hang-outs on campus were the cafeteria and library.

Which professor or staff made an impact on your academic or professional career?

My favorite professor was Professor Paul Smith.

How did LBSC prepare you for life after college?

LBSC gave me confidence in myself and was a great educational foundation.

How or have you been involved with CSULB as an alumni?

I have been involved as an alumnus through the Alumni Association serving on the Board of Directors and currently serving as the President.

Tell us something about the value and/or meaning of your CSULB experience?

My experience at CSULB helped me establish many professional contacts and it gave me a broad educational background for future success. Long Beach State was a great experience for me. I met my future wife, Bonnie Galbreath, '65 at LBSC. The university prepared me for my professional career in criminal justice.
