Alumni and their families are invited to enjoy a pre-performance reception followed by CSULB students of the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music performing the amazing beauty and suspense of Giuseppe Verdi's intensely dramatic "Requiem". Over 200 members from combined choirs and a 75-piece symphony orchestra illuminate Verdi's stirring meditation on life and death. "Requiem" is one of the most spectacular, awe-inspiring works in classical music-from a haunting portrayal of judgment day to some of the most beautiful and dramatic music for soloists, chorus and large orchestra ever written!
