Celebrating 37 years of entertainment! Concerts in the Grove is a fresh alternative for entertaining your friends, family and business associates.
Bring your favorite picnic dinners to enjoy before the concerts, then listen and dance to unique bands under the stars. For your convenience, alcoholic beverages* will be available for purchase at concessions.
A popular Concerts in the Grove pastime is the raffle drawing of donated gifts from local merchants. Proceeds from this drawing benefit various alumni programs such as the Alumni Grants providing campus grants and supporting student excellence. Just a few of the past prizes have included: accommodations at fine hotels, gift certificates to acclaimed restaurants, wine tasting and tickets to theatre events.
Our concert series sells out quickly, so we encourage you to purchase your tickets early!

Reserved terrace seating at tables, $30 per person.
Terrace tables accommodate groups of four or more (bring some friends!). When complete tables are not purchased, smaller parties may be combined to complete a table (make some friends!).
Sorry, we cannot guarantee specific table requests. The Concerts in the Grove committee will assign you the best seats available based on the date your order is received. If your group cannot be accommodated at one table, you’ll be contacted regarding your options.

Smoking will be allowed only in designated areas outside of the concert venue.

Please note that we are unable to provide refunds on tickets once they have been purchased.
Tickets will be mailed two weeks prior to the first concert.

You may bring your own picnic dinners or pre-purchase them and pick them up at the Concession Bar.
* CSULB alcohol policy does not allow event attendees to bring their own alcohol on campus for consumption.
A concession stand will be available inside the concert venue. Free coffee compliments of the CSULB Alumni Association.

A fan favorite, these four rockers have jammed together since 1988. The Long Beach Press -Telegram calls them “the soundtrack for the City of Long Beach.” The highly acclaimed “oldies” band performs vintage top 40 and popular tunes from the ’60s and ’70s like “Mustang Sally” and “Some Kind of Wonderful.” If you like Elvis, The Beatles and the Eagles, you will love the Elm Street Band!

Tommy Tassi and the Authentics is a highly renowned oldies band that has been entertaining and pleasing audiences of all ages since 1978 performing popular hits from the 1950’s, ’60s and ’70s. They have been rated one of the best bands by concert audiences. Lead vocalist Tommy Tassi has guided the band to their popularity and success with riveting spirit and energy.
Back for a third straight season, The Emperors are a clear Long Beach favorite. They have been the opening act for The Rolling Stones and the Righteous Brothers. Known for tight ensemble playing, strong vocals and an exciting show, The Emperors have put their mark on many high-energy covers performing songs from the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s like “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “Good Vibrations”, and many more!
