Celebrating 36 years of entertainment! Concerts in the Grove is a fresh alternative for entertaining your friends, family and business associates for a fun and lively evening of great entertainment in an outdoor setting. Past concertgoers know the four Saturday night series as a casual, fun and lively evening of great entertainment in an outdoor setting. Our concert series sells out quickly, so we encourage you to purchase your tickets early to get the best tables. Bring your favorite picnic dinners to enjoy before the performances, then listen and dance to unique bands under the stars. For your convenience, alcoholic beverages* will be available for purchase at concessions.
A popular Concerts in the Grove pastime is the raffle drawing for donated gifts from local merchants. Just a few of the past prizes have included: accommodations at fine hotels, gift certificates to acclaimed restaurants, wine tastings and tickets to Musical Theatre West and the Hollywood Bowl.
All proceeds from Concerts in the Grove help to finance the campus grants program and programs supporting student excellence.

CSULB Campus, held outdoors at the Soroptimist House terrace on Beach Drive.
Reserved terrace seating at tables, $30 per person.
Terrace tables accommodate groups of four or more (bring some friends!). When complete tables are not purchased, smaller parties may be combined to complete a table (make some friends!).Sorry, we cannot guarantee specific table requests. The Concerts in the Grove committee will assign you the best seats available based on the date your order is received. If your group cannot be accommodated at one table, you’ll be contacted regarding your options. Please contact us for parties larger than eight.
Smoking will be allowed only in designated non-dining areas.

The Emperors are a clear
Long Beach favorite. The Emperors have performed in opening acts for Peter and
Gordon, the Rolling Stones, The Righteous Brothers and later, Steely Dan.
Known for tight ensemble playing, strong vocals and an exciting stage show,
The Emperors have put their mark on many high-energy covers. The Emperors have
scored big with fans with songs like The Who’s “Tommy,” Queen’s “Bohemian
Rhapsody” and the Beach Boys’ “Good Vibrations,” among others.

A fan favorite, this Long Beach group
boasts alumni of Cal State Long Beach,
Long Beach City College, Millikan High
and Stanford Junior High. These four
venerable rockers have jammed together
for almost 40 years. The Long Beach
Press-Telegram calls them “the soundtrack
for the City of Long Beach.” If you
like Elvis, The Beatles and The Eagles,
you will love the Elm Street Band.

King Salmon plays a fun mixture of rock tunes that you'll recognize,
want to sing along with, and dance to. The musicianship and experience
of the band members allows them to cover a wide range of artists, tunes,
and styles. Having been together for the last 10 years, King Salmon
regularly performs at southern California concerts, events, festivals,
and clubs. Members of the band have performed with well known artists
in the studio and on some of the largest concert stages in the world.
