Congratulations and welcome to CSULB! You have an exciting journey ahead of you and we want to make sure that you are well prepared to start pursuing your academic goals.

If you are coming to CSULB as a first-time, first-year student, transfer student, graduate student, or credential student, there are still a few steps you need to take to make sure you successfully transition to The Beach!

To confirm your admission, you will need to make sure to accept your admission offer, activate your account, sign up for orientation, and more!

The deadline to submit the 2024-2025 FAFSA/CADAA is May 2. The U.S. Department of Education is experiencing high volumes of calls for students seeking support with the FAFSA. Review the FAQs below and learn more about FAFSA Simplification for support.

There are various forms of financial aid opportunities that are available to students depending on eligibility. Available aid programs may include, but are not limited to:

  • Scholarships
  • Federal Grants
  • State Grants
  • CSULB Grants
  • Federal Student Loans
  • Federal Work-Study

The CSULB Financial Aid and Scholarships team is here to support you with resources and tools that may help you apply for aid and fund your educational goals. 

As a newly-admitted student, you will register for your first semester at CSULB during your mandatory Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration (SOAR) sessions.

As a continuing student, you will receive a your registration appointment by email each semester, which is the day and time you may begin registering for your classes through MyCSULB Student Center. It is important that you use your CSULB email address so that you do not miss important registration information.
