From your Course Navigation, click the Dropbox link.
From the Folder List page, click the name of the desired Dropbox folder.
From the Folder Submissions page:
Click on the User tab, then
Click the Evaluate link beside the name of a user.
On the right-hand side of the Leave Feedback page under Evaluation, click the Rubric icon.
In the Assess Rubrics window, select the radio buttons for each level and criteria. You will see a Total Score in the bottom right corner of the Rubric.
Note: You can click the pencil icon to manually edit the points if desired.
Make sure that the checkbox for Transfer rubric feedback to general feedback for the assignment is checked.
Click the Save & Record button.
You should now see the rubric score in the Score Out of box in the Leave Feedback page.
Click Publish or Next Student.
Repeat this for each student.
Grading a Discussion Topic with a Rubric
From your Course Navigation, click the Discussions link.
Click the drop-down list of the desired topic and select Assess Topic.
In the User tab, click the rubric name (this is the name you gave your rubric) under the desired student.
In the Topic Rubric window, select the radio buttons for each level and criteria, you will see a Total Score in the bottom right corner of the Rubric.
Note: You can click the pencil icon to manually edit the points if desired.
Click Save.
Click the Topic Score link under the same student's name.
In the Topic Score window, enter the Rubric points in the Topic Score field.
Select the Publish to Grades check box, if you would like the grade to automatically transfer over to the Grades area. Note: This option will only work if a Grade item is attached to this Discussion Topic.
Click Save.
Repeat these steps for each student.
Grading a Grade Item with a Rubric
From your Course Navigation, click the Grades link.
Click on the drop-down list of desired Grade Item and select Enter Grades.
In the Assessment column, click the icon under the Submissions column next to the desired student.
On the right panel of the Evaluation Submission page, click on the link to the attached rubric under the Evaluation section.
In the Assess Rubrics window, select the level(s) the student achieved. The rubric will give you a total.
If you wish, you can you can transfer the feedback on the rubric to the general feedback for the assignment by checking the appropriate box.
Click Save and Close or Save.
If you clicked Save and Record in the previous step, notice how the score is reflected in the Evaluate Submission page.
Click Publish to transfer the grade to the gradebook.
