Lea is currently a consultant to a local steel company. She has experience in risk management, investments, safety and benefits. Lea was employed by national corporations in the management and design of pension plans, health and drug plans, safety programs and property and casualty insurance portfolios. She was the President at Captive Insurance Company and an investment and banking relationship officer for a NY stock exchange company. Lea earned a bachelor’s degree from UCLA and an MBA from Pepperdine University. The Gerber’s are long time Long Beach residents. Dennis Gerber (husband) is an alum. Lea’s past profession affiliations include: President Risk Management and Insurance, Management Society – Los Angeles chapter, Member Cash Management Association – Los Angeles chapter, Arbitrator – Los Angeles Inter-Company Insurance Arbitration Association. Lea has volunteered for the following organizations: Long Beach Cancer League, Past President of Jewish Community Foundation of Long Beach, Seal Beach Friends of the Library, Recording for the Blind – Los Angeles, Big Brothers - Los Angeles, and Attendance at many events for CCEJ, St. Mary’s Medical Center, Ronald McDonald House, Long Beach Pops.
