Step 1

Study the new sentence pattern

Practice the new sentence patter using family photos

Listen to the dialogue using Cyber Chinese or click here to study the text of Lesson 4
Try to say the following words and sentences:

  1. father, mother, brothers, friend
  2. This is my friend.
  3. This is my father (mother, brothers).
  4. Hello! (to more than one person)

Step 2

a. Lear the write these characters: 這是 爸媽 朋友 or Click here to see Prof. Jeff Winters animated characters (Lesson 4-6)
b. Print the character sheet and practice writing

Step 3

Read the information about the Chinese language on page 28 of the textbook.
