Marcia Dickstein first joined CSULB's applied music faculty fall 1990 semester and returned in the fall 1995. Marcia Dickstein is also an adjunct professor at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Marcia plays with the Los Angeles Music Center Opera and the Long Beach Symphony. Her solo credits include the Louisville Orchestra, Glendale Symphony, and New West Symphony, Chamber Orchestra of the South Bay, and the Women's Philharmonic, San Francisco. Her film credits include Toy Story, A Bug's Life, and Matrix and TV performances for The Jay Leno Show and Star Trek. Radio broadcasts include St. Paul Sunday and Performance Today, heard on over 200 NPR Stations.
Marcia's recordings include Chamber Music of Arnold Bax w/The Debussy Trio, Solo with Roger Wagner Chorale and Solo with William Hall Chorale, etc, on RCM, Harmonia Mundi, Klavier, Koch and First Edition labels.
She composes, compiles scholarly editions, original solo and method series, and transcriptions. Her most recent publications begin an educational series of original solo and method books for harp students.
