Course Goals
By the end of the semester students will learn more about how to program to utilize benefits of multiprocessors and parallelized computing.

Grading
Your final grades are comprised of the following components:
Homework and Lab assignments 25%, Midterm1 25%, Midterm2 25% and Final Exam 25%.
There is absolutely no late submission for Homework/Lab assignments.
Please note that all course materials are distributed through BeachBoard.
Document submission is done only via Dropbox in BeachBoard. No material will be accepted if submitted via email or hardcopy. There is no late submission. Your lowest homework/lab will be dropped.

C: >= 70%
D: >= 60%
Attendance Policy
You are strongly encouraged to attend all lectures. Supplementary material outside of the class textbook will be presented and included in tests, learning activities and programming projects. Lab attendance is mandatory on project due dates. All programming projects must be able to run successfully on the computers in the class lab.
Exam make-ups are “not” allowed (early or late). However, some consideration will be given to students who miss an exam due to a personal or family emergency, as long as a “valid” proof is provided. Students who have to miss an exam for a valid reason should notify the instructor before exam time if at all possible.

Disabilities
