CBEST |
The CBEST [California Basic Educational Skills Test] is offered several times each semester on the CSULB campus and at many other sites around the state. For information call the college's Student Information Center at 562-985-5706, Single Subject Credential Program at 562-985-5325 or the CBEST administrative office at National Evaluation Systems in Sacramento at 916-928-4001.
Assistance in preparing for CBEST is available from IMPACT/TEACH at CSULB and on many other CSU campuses.
Candidates for the Library Media Teacher Services Credential who have not
yet passed the CBEST are strongly advised to take the test during their first
semester in the program. All candidates for the credential MUST pass the
CBEST before they can be admitted to the program officially and before they
can be assigned to Field Experience. The CBEST also is required for an emergency
Library Media Teacher Services Credential.
