Student Teaching Evaluations
Many major universities release student teaching evaluations of faculty, so students can make an informed choice about the quality of teaching in selecting their courses. Unfortunately, privacy rules at the California State University consider these evaluations to be confidential personnel records, and the evaluations may not be released by the University. I have elected to release my own teaching evaluations for recent semesters to assist students in selecting courses, and I hope other faculty will consider doing the same thing.
