Student Support Services Program

is a federally funded program designed to assist students in achieving their maximum potential in higher education.

SSSP offers tutorial and supplemental instruction assistance covering a wide range of courses. The program also offers academic, career, and personal counseling as well as financial aid application assistance. These services are provided at no charge to program participants.

Students are referred to SSSP by faculty, staff, and students of CSULB. Interested students apply directly to the program for participation.

In addition to an academic need, one of the following must apply for a student to be eligible for SSSP services:

  • Low income and first generation college student

  • Physically disabled and/or learning disabled

  • Low income only

  • First generation only


    Students should check with SSSP regarding their eligibility for program participation.
