  • Equipment infusion installed
    The CSULB Foundation is upgrading its teleconferencing center with approximately $55,000 worth of new "state-of-the-art" equipment to rejuvenate interest in the center from area businesses and Cal State Long Beach faculty and administration, according to foundation officials.

    Slide by the seat of their pants, off-the-cuff, make-shift and uncharted are all ways to describe The Orphans of Cal State Long Beach. A comedy group worked by CSULB students, The Orphans are a small but up-and-coming improvisational group in the spirit of "Whose Line is it Anyway?"

  • No longer relevant
    The Republicans and Democrats must be furious right now. First, conventions are getting relatively little airtime on network television. Second, the activities inside the convention hall are less interesting than what's happening outside.
  • People will pay for anything
    As we approach the five-year anniversary of the end of his infamous trial, O.J. Simpson has found a new way to cash in on his notoriety: the Internet.
