  • Companies compete for KKJZ station
    Five local radio companies will submit bids to operate Cal State Long Beach’s classic jazz station, KKJZ-FM, one of the country’s few remaining straight-jazz stations.

  • Financial aid helps increase summer enrollment
    Summer enrollment has risen significantly thanks to the increase of financial aid money available to students.
    According to Vice Provost David Dowell, enrollment is at nearly 10,000 students, which is approximately one-third of the number of students who enroll during the fall semester.

  • Additional recycle bins come to The Beach
    Forty new recycling bins will be spread across campus this summer to increase the amount of cans and bottles recycled.
    The new bins will be distributed throughout the first week of summer school along parking areas.

    What happened this Memorial Day weekend defined the Dirtbag’s regular season. The Dirtbags faced Cal State Fullerton, who is ranked second in the country, for the final three games of the regular season but were unable to secure a single must-needed victory over the weekend.

  • Relatively new golfer Wood looking to be Cal State Long Beach team leader
    Usually, collegiate athletes have been playing their respective sports since they were in kindergarten. For Ryan Wood, it was not until middle school that he discovered the sport he would later learn to love.
