Opinion

  • Our View: Big cars too big for small roads, go away
In America we say, “Bigger is better.” This attitude pervades our culture. Super-size me. Build the tallest tower. Construct a new super Wal-Mart.

  • Confidence in Iraq conflict waning, lacking
There is no Santa Claus.I was 8 years old when I heard those five devastating words. I was in line to play four-square when a big, mean, ugly fifth-grader decided to stomp all the innocence out of my Santa-loving childhood.

  • Pop culture hurts originality, creates dilemma
Think back on the last few movies you watched. Do you ever get a feeling of déja vu when you watch a film for the first time? Sometimes it seems like we’re given the same plots, characters and themes over and over again.
