pulled out of negotiation talks Tuesday after being offered the position the
previous week.

resignation Wednesday. He will
take a job as the dean of the
John M. and Mary Jo Boler School
of Business at John Carroll University
in Cleveland.

Dr.
Xiaolan Bao, a professor of Chinese
and Chinese women’s studies

1993, died Jan. 22 after a long
struggle with cancer.
