Beer,
more beer and good food. One way to quench
a huge thirst is to knock back a cold one.
The Belmont Brewing Company, the Yard House
and the Rock Bottom Brewery are trendy locations
to eat well, and drink lots of beer.
The Yard House is beautifully located at
Shoreline Village in downtown Long Beach,
overlooking the water. With a spacious deck
decorated with elegant white lights, the
restaurant is a great date location or a
mellow hang out.
With one of the world’s largest selections
of draft beer, the Yard House is a site
in itself. It’s oval-shaped bar circulates
around 180 to 250 taps. Even if fancy isn’t
a necessity, the Yard House offers various
domestic and import drafts.
When it comes to a large selection of beers,
the Yard House takes the prize. The cuisine
on the other hand, is not much to rave about.
The variety is decent offering steaks, pizza
and burgers.
For a darker, more cozy location, the Rock
Bottom Brewery on Ocean Boulevard is an
excellent choice. Warm woods and earth tones
grace the eyes, while a spacious floor makes
way for a good place to gather with friends.
The food is tasty, the service is pleasant
and the beer is crisp.
This brings us to the Belmont Brewery on
39th Place off of Ocean Boulevard. The atmosphere
is comfortable and its late night happy
hour menu of California Rolls and sushi
fit nicely.
