Stewart's
13 lucky for Beach
Roberta Stewart,
a freshman from Auckland, New Zealand, was named Mountain
Pacific Sports Federation Player of the Week after scoring
13 goals last week for The Beach.
Stewart leads Long
Beach State with 53 goals and closed the week with a five-goal
performance -- one short of the LBSU single-game record --
against UC San Diego in the third-place game of the Long Beach
Invitational.
Stewart's award
was the second for LBSU this season. Sophomore Angelica Garcia
was named MPSF Player of the Week over spring break.
The Beach closes
the regular season at UCI Thursday and at Cal State Northridge
Saturday.
