  • Women to unite at annual conference
    More than 10,000 women will gather in downtown Long Beach Tuesday for the 16th annual Governor’s Conference for Women, a day-long event featuring speeches by ABC news co-anchor, Cokie Roberts and “The World” magazine reporter, Rebecca Roberts, will be among notable speakers.

  • Knott’s, Queen Mary search for scares
    Halloween is approaching and ghouls and goblins everywhere are being encouraged to rise from the realms of the “other world” and come to work for Knott’s Scary Farm and the Queen Mary to provide scares for thousands of thrill-seekers this season.

  • 49ers sweep Idaho, Utah St.
    The Long Beach State women’s volleyball team improved to 10-0 after sweeping both the University of Idaho Vandals, 30-20, 30-20, 30-27, and the Utah State Aggies (30-19, 30-21, 30-24) in six straight games.

  • Men’s water polo falls to Trojans
    Falling behind a few goals short of a win on Saturday’s game, the Long Beach State men’s water polo team finished its home game against USC and lost the 9-5 battle to the Trojans.

  • LBSU men take 14th, women 11th at UCR
    The Long Beach State cross country team competed and fared well in its first “true race of the season,” Distance Coach Geoff Masanet said in a statement earlier this week.
