Artistic work of all colors and media by fifteen artists were presented at the Fine Arts Building Sunday to be on display through Thursday.

Jonathan Anderson, who is a member of the Graduate Art Students club, said that the gallery was juried by critics such as Doug Leavy, of “LA Weekly.”

Much of the art includes paintings of photos both abstract and contemporary such as Jihyun Cho’s “The Way That I See Things Around Me,” which gives a three dimensional design and abstract look of daily life filled with vivid color.

“The artwork shows both my background in Korea, as well as the city area where I live in,” Cho said.

Another piece was a multimedia project titled “The Princess Stories,” by David Goetz, a graduate student in art history.

The piece represents six white princesses in a hexagonal figure displaying three Disney princesses and three real ones: Princess Diana, Jacquelyn Kennedy and Grace Kelley.

“I wanted to show the reality of being a princess and the fantasy of a Disney princess,” Goetz said.

The exhibit will run from noon to 5 p.m. and is located at Fine Arts building 2. For more information call (562) 985-4394.
