High jumper Tayyiba
Haneef was the lone bright spot for the Long Beach State indoor
track team at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Indoor
Championship held at Flagstaff Ariz. this past weekend.
Haneef jumped 1.81
meters to claim the victory. She now is qualified for NCAA
Indoor Championship in Fayettville Ark. starting on Mar. 10.
As a team, the
49er women finished in eighth place with a total of 16 points
while the men finished in ninth place with only 2.5 points.
