Students
hunger for food safety at CSULB
The
City of Long Beach Department of Health and Human Services
has failed to perform required inspections of several
restaurants at Cal State Long Beach during the past nine
months, compromising student safety.
Police
aim to do better on stats
Recent
systemwide and campus crime statistics indicate that Cal
State Long Beach is safer than a majority of the campuses
in the Cal State University system, despite some key incidents
in the past few years.
University
addresses building hazards
Cal
State Long Beach had several buildings on the California
State University list of potential seismic hazards before
the Jan. 17, 1994 Northridge earthquake, and it has dealt
with many of these potential threats in the past eight
years, according to CSULB officials. But some still remain
at risk.
