CSULB Faculty and Students at the Conclusion of a Successful Lobby Day at the Capitol
Six faculty and students representing CSULB attended the CFA Lobby Days in Sacramento on April 29-30, 2008. Other teams came from across the state representing all of the CSU campuses. In total, 111 of the 120 elected officials heard about the regional impact of the CSU campuses in or near their districts. Each legislator was given a copy of a report prepared for the Calfiornia Faculty Association by the Blue Sky Consulting Group entitled Examining the Fiscal, Economic, and Social Impacts of the California State University. The report was featured in a CFA led news conference in the Governor's Press Room at the Capitol at noon on April 30, 200. Tim Gage, one of the authors, summarized the key points of the report.
